Sir William Russell Flint Art Gallery

In my view, Sir William Russell Flint is quite unique. His understanding of the water colour art medium is unsurpassed. To look closely at his work is to stand in amazement, and yet, until very recently he was hardly recognised at all by the major art institutions. I could browse books with titles in the vein of 'Great British Artists' - and his work would not be included. Thankfully that situation is now changing and he is at last becoming more widely known.
